Maple Springs Natural Handmade Soap

Handmade Soap Ingredients

Maple Springs Farm brings to you our old fashioned handmade Country Farm Soap. Our soap is all natural, and is saponified from an all vegetable base of the oils of olive, coconut, palm, canola, and soy. Every oil that we use, serves a particular function in the finished product.

  • Olive oil - Forms a layer to prevent loss of internal moisture, thus creating a 'healing' moisturizer. This oil does not interfere with the skin's natural function.
  • Coconut oil - For the fluffy, quick lather. Coconut oil, when used in proper porportions, is a natural moisturizer to the skin.
  • Palm oil - Contributes to the small and slow lather to the finished bar of soap. Also puts the hardness in the bar. Soap made with all olive oil tends to be on the soft side.
  • Canola oil - From the rapeseed plant, canola contains protein and natural moisturizing properties.
  • Soybean Oil - Used for the mild and stableness of the lather. Soap of long ago was made from tallow, or lard. Maple Springs Farm uses soybean oil in place of that.

homemade old fashioned soapMaple Springs Country Farm soaps are all handmade from scratch in small batches. Through the soapmaking process, the finished soap produces a natural 'glycerine' which is beneficial to your skin. Samples of each batch of soap are tested by family and friends before going out to our customers. Essential oils or fragrance oils are also added to the soaps. There are no added colorings so, basically, the color of the finished bar is the result of the saponification process between the fixed oils and the EO's and FO's. Most bars are a creamy shade of white, or variations thereof. All of our soaps have excellent lather, smell great, rinse clean, and are very moisturizing to the skin. The scents we offer reflect our farm and our kitchen. For wholesale information, please go to our wholesale page.
